Sustainability in practice
The Guesthouse is part of the Kalkbreite Cooperative – a pioneering project for communal and sustainable urban living. Our spaces reflect this core philosophy: we create places that stand for ecological, social, and economic responsibility.
Ecological
Since its founding, the Kalkbreite cooperative has been committed to resource-saving solutions: energy-efficient buildings, renewable energy, and circular thinking in everyday life.
Social
The Zollhaus is open not only to residents but also to external visitors, making it a vibrant place for people to meet.
Economical
We operate our guesthouse on a non-profit basis. Every contribution from a booking flows directly back into the cooperative.
A place of diversity
The Zollhaus brings living, working, and culture together under one roof. By booking a room at the Zollhaus, you become part of this cooperative project—and help ensure that Kalkbreite remains a model for sustainable, urban living in the future.
